Restorative Yoga with Healing Touch

Our mind, body and spirit experiences an abundance of masculine energy in the way we construct our daily lives and the environments we live in. We can choose to create space and experiences to balance this with feminine energy. When these energies are brought into harmony, it is amazing how the masculine energy flows more smoothly and we are able to experience the world more fully with equanimity.

Restorative yoga practice will create and hold the space for practitioners to regulate their nervous system toward balance. It involves a sequence of only five to six fully supported poses by props like bolsters, blocks, blankets and straps; that offers a deep relaxation, passive stretching and rest in the posture. When the body feels safe and secure, the connective tissues which are storing the emotions and tensions will open up and the joints will be free. Reiki healing touch is included in this session to increase relaxation and regulate the flow of energy in the body.

This is not a physically demanding practice and any person with any body type can take advantage from it. It is also very beneficial for people with chronic pains, anxiety and psychosomatic illnesses.

Gentle Hatha Flow

The word “Hatha” is a combination of two mantras “Ham” and “Tham”; which correspond to solar and lunar energy. A common interpretation of Hatha yoga is the union of pairs of opposites and bringing these two forces in harmony. This system uses a deep understanding of body mechanics, yogic poses and breath to bring the body back to balance.

The hatha flow is a rhythmic practice of yogic asanas or poses in link with the breath to stretch and strengthen the muscles, lubricate the joints, condition the body and calm the mind. This practice works on flexibility, stamina and balance to maintain the physical and mental health. It can be used proactively to keep us healthy; as well as reactively to heal the old injuries, chronic pains, muscular tensions or as a way to correct the habitual postures.

In Gentle hatha flow class, different variation of yoga asanas and sometimes props like blocks and straps are offered to make the practice available to everyone. It is specifically suitable for beginner practitioners of yoga or the ones looking for a more sympathetic or therapeutic physical practice.
